National coach Michael Reiziger was pleased with the performance of the Dutch Juniors at the European Championship. "We put the people on it who gave energy. And those players gave the right energy. We succeeded in that," said Reiziger at Ziggo Sport after the 2-0 victory of the Dutch Juniors over the Ukrainian Juniors in Prestov.

Reiziger praised striker Thom van Bergen and occasional midfielder Ryan Flamingo in particular as players who gave Jong Oranje a lot of energy. According to Reiziger, Jong Oranje must now first recover well, see what the damage is and then prepare for the quarter final on Saturday against Portugal in Slovakian Zilina.
