Manchester City win Club World Cup on Reijnders' debut

Tijjani Reijnders has made a successful debut for Manchester City. The team of coach Pep Guardiola started the Club World Cup with a 2-0 victory over Wydad AC from Casablanca.
Reijnders and fellow countryman Nathan Aké played the entire match for City, who took an early lead. From a long attack, Phil Foden shot the opening goal in the 2nd minute. Jeremy Doku made it 2-0 just before half-time with a volley on a corner from Foden. Manchester ended the match with ten men after Rico Lewis was shown a red card.
In the second half, Guardiola brought in Rodri, Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gündogan, among others. Former NAC player Bart Meijers and ex-PSV player Nordin Amrabat started for Wydad. Both players were substituted in the second half.
