The Dutch hockey players, following the example of the hockey players, secured the final victory in the Pro League without taking action themselves. The team of national coach Jeroen Delmee was able to celebrate the title because competitor Australia lost 2-1 to England.

After sixteen games, the Netherlands had 35 points. Australia has 27 points and could get a maximum of 6 points in the remaining two games. Belgium, who also have to play two games, has 25 points.

The hockey players still have two matches to play, but in points they are only equaled by Argentina and Belgium. Then the players of national coach Raoul Ehren still win, because they have achieved the most victories.
