Tribute to Santi Jiménez

Feyenoord announced yesterday that it will pay tribute to Santiago Giménez during its upcoming warm-up match against Wolfsburg at De Kuip Stadium, as part of his official farewell to the club.
The Mexican striker, who joined the Rotterdam club in 2022, recently joined Milan in the winter transfer window after a successful spell in Dutch football. In two and a half seasons with the Red and Whites, the Cruz Azul youth player won three titles and scored 65 goals.
"Santiago Giménez will return briefly to De Kuip this weekend. The Mexican striker will be invited to the opening match against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday and will officially say goodbye to the team during halftime," the club posted on its social media.
During halftime of the match against the German side, Giménez will perform a lap of honor accompanied by former teammates, in recognition of his career with the club. Feyenoord expects an emotional reunion between the fans and the striker, who has won the affection of the supporters since his arrival.
Before the start of the match, a reunion of former players will also be held, with the traditional group photo of the Opening Match, an event held every year at the Dutch club.
Feyenoord will debut in the Dutch league on August 9 against NAC Breda, while Giménez's Milan will play their first match in the Italian league on August 23 against Cremonese.
The striker's signing was for a figure close to 32 million euros.
