Three ultras arrested as possible culprits in stoning to death the bus driver of Pistoia Basket 2000 fans

Italian authorities arrested three Sebastiani Rieti fans on Monday night as possible suspects in the death of the second driver of the bus transporting Pistoia Basket 2000 fans, who was struck by a brick thrown by a Rieti supporter.
The three detainees are currently in jail, charged with aggravated voluntary homicide. A fourth suspect, currently at large, is accused of being an accomplice, according to Italian media reports.
The investigation continues, and further arrests are not ruled out. In fact, on Sunday night, following the events, 12 people were identified and taken to the police station for questioning.
Raffaele Marianella, 65, was the victim of the Sunday night fatality when a radical faction of the Sebastiani Rieti ambushed the bus carrying Pistoia fans after the match played in Rieti (Lazio), which ended with a victory for the visitors.
Sebastiani's supporters waited hidden at the entrance to the Rieti-Terni motorway and began stoning the moving vehicle, eventually throwing a brick that broke the window and directly hit Marianella, who was not driving the bus at the time.
An autopsy will be performed this Tuesday, but initial reports suggest that the deceased, who was in the seat next to the driver, was hit in the carotid artery, leaving medical workers unable to save him when they arrived.
Investigators are working to extract DNA from the brick that caused the death, review images from the surrounding area , and triangulate cell phone data to locate the fans at the scene of the crime.
They now also have the cell phones of those arrested, which could contain key information to determine their guilt and the responsibility of others.
