Santos Laguna denies that Alejandro Irarragorri is a fugitive from justice.

The Santos Laguna Club has issued an official statement denying reports of an alleged arrest warrant against its president, Alejandro Irarragorri .
According to the club, there is no legal basis for such an order, and it emphasizes that Irarragorri has complied with all of his legal obligations in a timely manner.
The statement responds to reports circulating in some media outlets indicating that Irarragorri was declared a "fugitive from justice" for failing to appear at a court hearing related to an alleged tax fraud case.

The club clarifies that a virtual hearing was held on March 20, which Irarragorri promptly attended.
However, the hearing was unexpectedly canceled by the judge, who rescheduled another for March 24 without complying with the established legal deadlines.
Furthermore, the club maintains that Irarragorri was not formally notified of this new hearing, so his failure to attend should not be grounds for issuing precautionary measures.
Santos Laguna reiterates his commitment to compliance with the law and rejects the possibility that a discrepancy in the interpretation of tax regulations, which can and should be resolved through administrative channels, be transferred to the criminal courts.
The club also expresses its rejection of any attempt at pressure disguised as a judicial act and affirms that it will assert its rights under the law.
This statement comes in the context of an investigation initiated by the Federal Tax Attorney's Office , which accuses Irarragorri of not paying income tax on the salaries of Santos Laguna players between January and July 2017 .
The club and its president have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the authorities and resolve any differences through the appropriate legal channels.
