Fans of the Universidad de Chile football club stoned the Lanús bus.

Several of these football "fans" have extensive police records and are one of the most dangerous hooligan groups in the neighboring country.
A group of fans of the Universidad de Chile football club threw rocks at the Lanús bus as it arrived at the Julio Martínez Pradanos National Stadium for the first leg of the 2025 Copa Sudamericana semifinals.
Following the incidents that occurred during the round of 16 match against Independiente, fans of the Argentine team once again committed a regrettable act of vandalism.
This time, one of the rocks thrown by Chilean fans hit the windshield of the vehicle, near Facundo Sánchez and Gonzalo Pérez.
"This is how the home fans welcome us. We're not changing anymore, we're not improving anymore. It's pathetic! Until they kill a player, they're not going to change?" he wrote in an Instagram story.
The riots began at the Hilton Hotel in Pudahuel, where Mauricio Pellegrini's team was staying. When the bus departed for the Julio Martínez Pradanos National Stadium, Universidad de Chile fans began an attack on the Argentine team.
This incident is not an isolated case, since in the second leg of the round of 16 of the tournament against Independiente at the Libertadores de América, the Argentine fans threw projectiles towards the Rojo supporters who were located in the stands, causing serious incidents.
Then, the Avellaneda team's hooligans went to where the Chilean fans were located and began beating them.
Ultimately, CONMEBOL decided to cancel the match and granted the "U" a place in the quarterfinals of the championship, despite having played a significant role in the acts of violence that occurred in Argentina.
