Escalera, the best Latina in gymnastics

Mexican Natalia Escalera shone as the best Latin American gymnast at the World Championships in her specialty in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Paris 2024 Olympian finished 17th in the all-around final (51.032 points) to place among the top 24 exponents. Angelina Melnikova took gold (55.066), while silver went to American Leanne Wong (54.966) and bronze to China's Qingying Zhang (54.633).
