Agostina Forti Giordani, the new Latin American Enduro Champion, receives an award

For her outstanding performance, the Enduro specialist received an award from Guaymallén

Agostina Forti is a young enduro rider from the Department of Guaymallén, who won the women's 85cc category crown at the recent Ibero-American Enduro Tournament held in Luján de Cuyo. It's worth noting that she is only 13 years old and has a promising future in motorcycling.
Agostina comes from a family of motorcyclists, her father is Fernando Forti and her mother Maribel Giordani was a Latin American champion of the specialty and is currently president of the Mendoza Federation of Sports Motorcycling (Fememod ) meaning that her parents at some point in their sporting lives shone in the firmament of enduro.
Her sister Valentina is also a distinguished and excellent rider in this motorcycle discipline, and was the Latin American champion in 2024 in Costa Rica.
"We instilled this sport in them because it's our passion. We participate in provincial, national, and Latin American competitions. Seeing our daughters on the podium is a source of tremendous pride," said Maribel Giordani de Forti, their mother.
Agostina, who started racing at age 9 on a 50cc minibike, can't hide her enthusiasm: "I can't believe it. I'm so happy and grateful to my family and the municipality for this recognition."
Since the athlete is originally from Guaymallén, Mayor Marcos Calvente presented her with an award for her dedication, discipline, and effort, qualities that led her to achieve the highest honor in a sport as demanding as it is exciting.
"It's a complex and high-risk sport, but it integrates many skills: cognitive, physical, and technical. It requires enormous training and strong family support . It's very important that young people like Agostina can develop responsibly and with support," the mayor emphasized.
During the meeting, the Mayor of Guaymallén and the Forti family also discussed the need for a motocross track or facility in Guaymallén so that young athletes can train in safe and suitable conditions. "Currently, there is no such facility in the department, and it would be very valuable to continue promoting the development of this discipline," they agreed.
Thus, between anecdotes, dreams, and motivations, the story of Agostina Forti demonstrates that talent and perseverance are ageless, and that with family support and institutional backing, the Department of Guaymallén continues to produce champions.
