Vincenzo Italiano is back in Ribera for the summer holidays

Vincenzo Italiano, coach of Bologna, the team with which he won the Coppa Italia a month ago, returned for the summer holidays in his Ribera. “I come back here every year, it’s my home, the umbilical cord with my land is alive, it’s never been cut,” said Italiano, who spent time in the center with the many locals, friends, relatives and acquaintances who approached him.

The Bplogna coach was awarded the title of honorary member of the local recreational club “Buoni amici”. Born in Karlsruhe, Germany, where his parents had moved for work, Vincenzo Italiano's family returned to Ribera at the age of 6 months. From here Vincenzo took his first steps in the local youth team, and then wore the jerseys of various Sicilian teams, including Trapani and PartinicAudace, until reaching professional football.
