The miraculous awakening of Evaristo Beccalossi after 47 days in a coma

The miraculous awakening of Evaristo Beccalossi after 47 days in a coma

“The doctors warned us, we don't know if he'll make it to tomorrow”. Since that day in mid-January when Evaristo Beccalossi went into a coma, 47 days have passed with the former Inter number 10 in intensive care. His wife Daniela revealed this in an interview with Corriere della Sera .

On February 27, Beccalossi, who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while at home and was hospitalized in Brescia, later came out of a coma. “Oriali and Bordon were the first to know,” says Beccalossi’s wife, emphasizing how, in the utmost respect for his privacy, Inter president Marotta and many former Nerazzurri teammates were close to him. “FIFA president Infantino sent him a voice message that I made him listen to over and over again when he was in a deep coma: Evaristo was his idol.” Beccalossi will turn 69 on Monday, and is now facing a long rehabilitation process: “But like as a player, he doesn’t feel like training: when he has to go to the gym he huffs and puffs.” However, Daniela concludes, a few days ago, looking out the window, he said: “I want to go back to work.”
