The 22nd Franco Bolognesi Memorial changes date

Florence, June 27, 2025 – The 22nd Memorial Franco Bolognesi will take place on Sunday, June 29, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the headquarters of Atletica Castello, in via Reginaldo Giuliani 518, in Florence. Traditionally, the race started at sunset, in front of the splendid Villa Reale di Castello, giving participants a truly magical moment, immersed in a context that exudes art and history. This year, however, the organizers have decided to move the event to Sunday morning, thus introducing a new atmosphere to this heartfelt event. Differentiated routes are planned: for runners, a 7 km route, completely renovated, with a positive difference in altitude of 340 meters; for walkers, a shortened route, designed for easier participation. The organization is handled by Atletica Castello, which will use its headquarters as the starting and finishing point of the event. As per tradition, a representative of the Bolognesi family will be present at the awards ceremony, as a testimony to the emotional and symbolic value that accompanies this event.
