Regional "Silver" Championships, Tuscan Title and Medals for Scherma Prato

Prato, 13 June 2025 - A few days ago, the regional “Silver” fencing championship took place in Navacchio (in the province of Pisa), for the “absolute” categories. And Scherma Prato can, in all honesty, draw a more than positive balance of the event that saw the best fencers of the region compete, having won a Tuscan title and a silver through its members. The greatest satisfaction came from the women's sabre, which saw Marta Ceni win. In the men's épée, Alex Weng stepped onto the podium, capable of competing for the title and then finishing with a silver medal. Finally, the results obtained by teammates were also good: seventh Alessandro Vianelli, ninth Matteo Palmieri and thirteenth Marco Trovato. "We are satisfied, also because the youngest are growing and the results tell us that we are among the top four Tuscan clubs - commented Faustino Colombo, director of the club, regarding the seasonal results - we will continue to work to grow further on a national level. Prato will remain a point of reference for the Academy and this is positive both for the city and for the sports movement".
