Antonella Gentile triumphs at the 2025 Powerlifting World Championships: Gold in the flat bench press in Rome

Another glorious page has been written in Italian sport thanks to Antonella Gentile, who won 1st place in the 55.5 kg category at the World Championship Single Lift 2025 organized by the WDFPF (World Drug Free Powerlifting Federation) .

The competition, held in Rome, saw athletes from all over the world compete in the unequipped bench press specialty. With an extraordinary series of lifts – 65 kg in the first attempt, 67.5 kg in the second and a massive final lift of 69 kg – Antonella demonstrated not only power, but also impeccable technique and absolute determination.

With the support of the team and coaches, Antonella was able to raise the gold medal to the sky, visibly excited and proud, as evidenced by the photos of the podium and the delivery of the official certificate signed by the president of the federation.

Antonella represented the team of the City of Ischia , thus bringing visibility and honor to her territory and demonstrating how commitment and discipline can bring extraordinary results even on a global level.
