Arezzo, June 14, 2025 – Fifth seasonal water fitness course at the Palazzetto del Nuoto in Arezzo. The last cycle of lessons before the summer break begins on Monday, June 16. It is aimed at men and women aged sixteen and over and will continue until Thursday, July 17 through a particularly varied calendar of disciplines in terms of equipment used, height of the pools and parts of the body trained. The activities, promoted by Chimera Nuoto, will range from traditional Aqua Gymnastics, Hidrobike with underwater bicycles, AcquAlta with floating exercises with the help of belts and Functional Gymnastics to stimulate the muscle groups with large equipment, in addition to AFA - Adapted Physical Activity for people with particular joint and neurological problems. Finally, an additional path will be pre and postpartum gymnastics for pregnant women to prepare the body for childbirth or rehabilitate its functions. The lessons can be planned with freedom of attendance depending on the specific holiday and work commitments, starting from a minimum of two meetings that will be held in a group and with constant musical accompaniment to allow you to experience occasions where movement and well-being are combined with fun and socialization.
The Chimera Nuoto season is experiencing a particularly dynamic moment that, in addition to the new swimming and water fitness courses, also includes intense sports activity with the athletes of the youth sector. The last stop was in Livorno with the qualifying trials for the Regional Summer Championships over the distances of 400, 800 and 1,500 meters where the Arezzo club lined up twenty-five swimmers who, compared to their peers from all over Tuscany, managed to emerge with five first places, five second places and four third places. Among the protagonists were Gabriele Mealli, born in 2007, and Sofia Napoli, born in 2010, who won in every specialty they entered and who both triumphed in both the 400 and 1500 freestyle. The satisfaction of arriving ahead of everyone was also experienced by Sergio Gramma, born in 2007, who finished first in the 800 freestyle and second in the 400 medley. Positive placings were also recorded by Fabio Ferrari in 2006 (second in the 400 and 1500 freestyle), Margherita Mattioli in 2011 (second in the 1500 freestyle and third in the 400 freestyle) and Alessio Menchetti in 2009 (third in the 400 and 1500 freestyle), finally the satisfaction of arriving in the top positions was also experienced by Gaia Burzi in 2007 (second in the 1500 freestyle) and Greta Viola Maraghini in 2011 (third in the 1500 freestyle). The Arezzo team was completed by Giovanni Cantalamessa Carboni, Morgana Milagros Domenichelli, Sofia Donati, Aurora Frulli, Mattia Gambini, Giulia Gianquitto, Alberto Giorni, Natalia Mazzeschi, Lorenzo Menchetti, Martina Minervino, Marco Morlando, Adele Napoli, Leonardo Raffi, Djulietta Rosca, Riccardo Rosi, Leonardo Rossi and Asia Senesi.
