The player was reportedly rescued after being stabbed in the heart on Monday evening in his home.

The news had been circulating since the evening, even though the name of the victim had not been initially disclosed. When they arrived at the scene, inside his villa in Pérols, a town south of Montpellier, the rescuers found the victim unconscious. He was found around 7 pm on Monday. Furthermore, it seems that Congré had lost a lot of blood due to the stab wound located near his heart .

Daniel Congré rushed to hospital: investigations into the incident

According to Rmc Sport , the Montpellier prosecutor's office has conducted investigations that for now seem to indicate that it was a " suicide attempt ". However, for its part, l'Equipe speaks of circumstances that are still being investigated. Following the intervention of the firefighters, the emergency room and the police, Congré was rushed to the Montpellier University Hospital .
