The naturalized British Kenyan, in particular, was involved in a fall that literally destroyed his bike in several parts and therefore, in some ways, foreshadowed an even more dire outcome of the tests. However, the fact remains that his right collarbone is fractured and therefore for the 4-time winner of the Tour de France a surgical operation and a stoppage yet to be quantified are looming on the horizon: not exactly the luckiest start to what could be the last season in the group for the 1985-born rider, who however has not yet expressed his opinion on the matter. Red light in sight, immediately, also for Rodriguez , the man who will try to bring Ineos Grenadiers back to the top in the Grand Tours : the task, in truth, should also fall to the reborn Egan Bernal , in turn struggling with the same injury just after winning the national time trial and road titles . In reality, Victor Langellotti also entered the medical bulletin of the UAE Tour 2025. The injury? Always the broken collarbone. The team? Another Ineos Grenadiers that is anything but kissed by Lady Luck in this first part of the season.

The other injured

In fact, there are several riders in the pits due to more or less serious injuries. Romain Bardet also fell, but at Volta ao Algarve 2025 , won by Jonas Vingegaard (also at the center of discussions because of his very particular cranks): for him a few bruises, especially to the shoulder, a lot of fear and only a week of stop in sight. David Gaudu is also currently stopped, with a prognosis of about 10 days , and the reason is bizarre: it always has something to do with a fall, but it happened during training and was caused by contact with a stray animal. Initial tests carried out on the Groupama-FDJ rider had ruled out any serious problems, but more in-depth examinations revealed a muscle injury to the gluteus medius which will require a few days of complete rest.
