Basketball, another defeat for CUS Pisa in Regional Division 2

Pisa, 26 February 2025 – Another defeat, due to an incomplete CUS Pisa Cosmocare , on the seventh day of the return match of the Regional Division 2 championship, group A. On the court of Basket Versilia 2001 , coach Bizzarri 's boys compromised the result right from the start, and a dominated final quarter was of no avail, with the result unfortunately already in place.

THE REPORT – Arriving in Versilia with only ten players, taking to the field with Fusco, Donati, Caldarelli, Benfratello and Coppi, the university players immediately went down, suffering an initial 21-6 that compromised the match. The second quarter did not go any better ( 18-7 ), with the two teams at halftime with an eloquent result of 39-13 for the home team. In the second half, CUS began to score with Fusco and Di Cursi, moving the score forward, which still remained strongly in favor of the home team at the end of the third period (59-28). Only in the last quarter, with the result already in the bag, Caldarelli and his teammates won the partial score by 6-21 , managing however only to halve the disadvantage.

THE VALUES – In a certainly not positive evening, three Pisans are in double figures, Fusco (11 points with 1 triple), Caldarelli (13 points) and Di Cursi (13 and with triples), making a positive debut in the championship, after a long injury.
