Asd Terranuova Traiana, Jacopo Pagnini is a new player

Arezzo, July 14, 2025 – ASD Terranuova Traiana officially announces that it has finalized the agreement for the acquisition, for the 2025-2026 sports season, of the rights to the sports performances of the footballer Jacopo Pagnini.
Born in 1997 (he finished 28 last February), Jacopo Pagnini, a goalkeeper by profession, 189 cm tall and weighing 76 kg, began his career at the AC Capostrada Belvedere Football School (a neighborhood north of Pistoia at the foot of the Apennines, before the start of the Abetone climb), then three seasons at Fiorentina: two with the Allievi Nazionali, one in the Primavera, where he made his debut with the second Viola team on April 11, 2015.
He reached senior football the following season with Poggibonsi: in the 15-16 Serie D championship, he made 33 starts out of 34 matches (missing the return match against Scandicci due to suspension), as well as the Group E playoff semifinal: he conceded 22 goals in total and kept 15 clean sheets. He then moved to Spezia, where he participated in the Primavera championship and the Viareggio Cup.
In August 2017, he moved to Lucchese, before going on loan the following January to Gavorrano in Serie C. This was essentially a season without a single appearance, during which he made 35 appearances in the Third Division. After returning to AC Milan, he moved to Pistoiese in the 2018-2019 season, making 13 Serie C appearances. He made his debut on February 10, 2019, in a 2-1 away loss at the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa.
In January 2020, he joined Ghiviborgo in Serie D, where he remained for two seasons: 5 appearances and 9 goals conceded in his first year, 25 appearances and 34 goals conceded in his second. In 2021-2022, he moved to Prato, where he made 33 appearances in 38 Serie D Group D matches, conceding 43 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets. He also played three Coppa Italia matches, including a 6-5 away win on penalties against Sanremese, with three penalties saved. In the summer of 2022, he moved to Ponsacco, where he made 32 appearances for Mobilieri, in addition to the Coppa Italia preliminary round and the 1-0 home victory against Trestina, which ensured the Rossoblù's survival in Serie D.
That season, the first meeting with Terranuova ended with a double victory: 3-1 in the first leg played on 11 September 2022 at the Davide Astori stadium in Rignano sull'Arno (due to the unavailability of the Ponsacco municipal stadium), 1-0 in the return match at the Matteini the following 15 January.
In October 2023, he joined Figline, where he remained for two seasons: in the first, he made 22 appearances, conceding 26 goals and keeping nine clean sheets. In the last season, he made 33 out of 34 appearances (missing the home match against Grosseto), as well as one round of the Coppa Italia and a playout, which he lost against Terranuova, which resulted in the Gialloblù's relegation to Eccellenza. Against Terranuova in the regular season, he also lost 1-0 at the Del Buffa and drew 1-1 at the Matteini.
In total, he conceded 34 goals and kept 14 clean sheets. In total, Pagnini has made all-inclusive appearances in the last 11 seasons: 12 appearances in Serie C, 183 in Serie D, 6 in the Primavera, 5 in the Coppa Italia Serie D, 3 in the Viareggio Cup, 2 Serie D play-offs, one in the Coppa Italia Serie C, and one Serie D playoff, for a total of 251 goals conceded, 68 clean sheets, and 19,066 minutes played, with an all-category average of one goal conceded every 76 minutes.
Undoubtedly a major transfer coup by sporting director Donello Resti, who brings a top-notch and highly experienced goalkeeper to the incoming Terranuova. Pagnini will be a key addition to Coach Marco Becattini's squad.
