Every summer, the Tour de France unfurls its road markings across France. Behind this traveling, open-air festival lies a colossal security logistical package designed to protect riders and the public in a changing and sometimes unpredictable environment. As the fourth stage between Amiens and Rouen begins this Tuesday, July 8, a battalion of government officials remains mobilized at every moment to prevent damage.
