Football. Goals rain down for organ donation in Saint-Max during the AS Nancy-Lorraine veterans' match against the French transplant team.

Rotary Nancy Héré - France Transplanted

The initiative of the Rotary Club Nancy Héré was rewarded, since the Coeur d'Héré gala match attracted some 400 spectators to the Stade Mainvaux in Saint-Max.

The casting did not leave anyone indifferent and the actors did not fail to thrill the audience, all won over to the cause of organ donation, carried by the French Transplant Team.

Led by Ludivine Wiart, as captain, the squad of former ASNL pros took things seriously. Despite this, it took them a while to find their feet.

The Tricolores thus created two good opportunities, forcing Mifsud to intervene. First on a breakthrough from Peltier (14th), then on a powerful strike from Gondrexon (18th).

Alo'o Efoulou, who was in a good position several times, was left wanting more. He then turned into a passer, allowing Zerka, who was on the verge of offside, to open the scoring (1-0, 34th), then his back pass gave Chrétien the chance to make it 2-0 (40th).

Rotary Nancy Héré had made the difference and never let go. Goursaud widened the gap (49th), before the young Pertusot made it 4-0, 64th.

Shortly after, Jacquot had the luxury of cleaning the top corner of Noethiger's net (5-0, 67th). Then, Goursaud came through again (6-0, 72nd), before Vairelles closed the scoring (7-0, 74th). It was only in the final moments that Alaaddin was able to save the honour for the French Transplanted team (7-1, 79th).

But the main point was elsewhere. There was a moving fervor as the players formed a guard of honor as Schmitt left the pitch. It was perhaps his last performance, after 80 matches and 59 goals in the blue jersey.

The goals

Rotary Nancy Héré: Zerka (34th), Chrétien (40th), Goursaud (49th, 72nd), V. Pertusot (64th), Jacquot (67th), L. Vairelles (74th); France Transplantés: Alaaddin (79th)
