AS Monaco basketball beats ASVEL and will defend its title in the Betclic Elite final against Paris

It was a bad start, but they did it!

This Tuesday evening on the floor of the Gaston-Médecin hall, the AS Monaco basketball players knew what they had to do: win Game 4 of the semi-final against ASVEL, to wrap up the series and reach the final of the French championship.

Trailing by 15 points with just a few minutes left in the match, Spanoulis' players inflicted a resounding 20-0 on Villeurbanne to reverse the outcome of the game and book their place in the final (91-86).

Huge at the end of the game (18 points, 10 assists in total) Matthew Strazel guided the Roca Team who were leading two wins to one before the game this Tuesday evening.

Starting this Sunday, the Principality's players will face off against Paris Basket, another Euroleague team, in an attempt to win their third consecutive national title. The first two rounds will take place in the capital.
