At the Périgueux golf course, 144 national hopefuls under the eyes of Grégory Havret

This weekend, 144 hopefuls from Nouvelle-Aquitaine came to seek a few points for their national ranking on the occasion of the 7th edition of the Grand Prix jeunes de Périgueux.
This year's Périgord competition took place in the presence of Grégory Havret. The 2007 Scottish Open winner and three-time winner in 2010 on the DP World Tour, now head of the FF golf men's division, came to accompany his son. "I'm discovering quality golf and, above all, an exemplary Grand Prix organization," he said Saturday evening. "I advise many to take a leaf out of their book." David Charier, former president and official speaker, predicted that it would be necessary to "play at least zero to be on the podium" the following day.
Particularly due to the performance of one of the juniors, Gwendoline Hamm (index 2.8) who, with two cards of 68 and 72, was untouchable. She left that same evening for her first major at the Grand Prix d'Évian. Only Sarah Bayard (La Prée La Rochelle), author of an eagle on Sunday, and Diane Yousfi (Aix-Marseille) resisted a little. In the boys' event, Hector Guilbaud (index 3.7, Haut-Poitou, 70 and 74) won ahead of Alexis Mourgue d'Algue (Saint-Émilion, 75 and 74) and Pablo Curutchet (Chiberta, 73 and 76).
Two play-offs contestedIn the U12 boys' category, the great national hopeful, Arthur Petit-Dubousquet (index 0.0, La Prée La Rochelle, 75 and 69), retained his title with a five-shot lead over Gaspard Lacube (Arcangue, 80 and 69) while in the minimes, Mathieu Cousturian (index 4.2, Mont-de-Marsan, 78 and 78) only got the better of Lurshai Etchegaray (index 2.7, La Nivelle, 81 and 75) after an interminable play-off. Like Justine Lanne-Lewinski (index 4.1, Lyon, 73 and 71) ahead of Lana Claverie (Mont-de-Marsan, 75 and 69) in the U12 girls, where Romane Rousseau (12th) and Clarence Brouillet (14th) did honor to the Périgueux golf school, like the junior Liam Nittel (5th).
This Thursday and Friday, the Seniors Grand Prix will take place at the Périgueux golf course. This will be followed by the Crédit Agricole Trophy on Sunday, August 31. Registrations can be made at 05 53 53 02 35.
