Video | Rigo Urán faced the fearsome Sabaneta hill: did he climb where the cars stop?

Cyclist Rigoberto Urán reappeared this Monday to face a real challenge in Sabaneta, Antioquia . The Colombian arrived with his bicycle to the dreaded San José hill, where cars and motorcycles often get stuck and do not go up the slope.
After watching videos from a TikToker who decided to record cars rolling downhill, Rigo took the risk of climbing a 2.2-kilometer stretch with a 12 percent gradient and points that reach up to 34 percent gradient.

"One of the toughest climbs, where they say, 'Does it go up or not?' I came with my bikes to see if we could go up or not. Remember that we are retired," said the cyclist born in Urrao before starting the challenge.
" Remember that we are 9 kilos overweight and I haven't ridden for a while. I only climbed Palmas yesterday, gently," Rigo added, laughing.

And Rigoberto was up to the challenge and with great effort he began to climb the San José hill. In some sections he had to stop on the pedals to continue with the challenge. At one point it seemed that he was not going to make it, but in the end he climbed the hill that cars do not climb when it rains.
Rigo completed the climb in 14 minutes and finished “with his heart in his hand.” The Colombian cyclist finished almost out of breath, barely saying a few words after achieving the challenge that went viral on social media.
"It's hard, I feel like I've just finished a stage in the Tour," said the cyclist who retired from professional cycling last year after his retirement from the Vuelta a España.
