Saraperos defeat Rieleros in extra innings after a tumbling game in Saltillo

The Saraperos de Saltillo defeated the Rieleros de Aguascalientes 12-11 in a hard-fought game that went to extra innings this Tuesday, June 24 at the Francisco I. Madero Stadium . The game marked the return to Saltillo of former manager Enrique "Che" Reyes , now in charge of the Aguascalientes team, and it was a constant battle between offenses that never slowed down.
Kurt Heyer opened the ninth inning, while Andretty Cordero began the Rieleros ' damage early with a run-scoring double by Gabriel Cancel in the first inning. Cordero later scored to make it 2-0.
Sarape 's response came immediately. In the first down, a single by Bobby Bradley drove in Alex Mejía, and shortly after, Fernando Villegas brought Bradley home with a single to tie the score at 2-2.

The game went to extra innings. Rieleros failed to score in the top of the tenth, and in the bottom of the inning, Rivera drew a base on balls with the bases loaded, allowing Saltillo to score the winning run.
With this victory, Saraperos has a key win in the final stretch of the season. The second game of the series is scheduled for this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the same venue.
