Rafael Di Zeo won't be able to move to an exclusive country club: neighbors rejected the Boca Juniors fan club boss.

The owners of an exclusive country club banded together to prevent Rafa Di Zeo from becoming their neighbor. This is the Abril Country Club, located in the town of Hudson.
The 371 owners of the Abril Club de Campo gated community opposed accepting Rafael Di Zeo as a resident. The country club is located in Hudson, Buenos Aires. Following the request, the owners were notified by the Board of Directors of Abril SA , which confirmed the rejection in a statement.
It all began when the residents of the gated community received a release notice for Mirta Carolina Condello last Wednesday, June 18. She is Di Zeo's wife; they married in April of this year.
It's worth mentioning that to join the club, a recommendation from at least two partners is required. Rafa secured the endorsement of Jorge Amor Ameal , Boca Juniors ' vice president, and Carlos Daniel Tomeo , who was also set to act as the seller of the property in question.

Faced with the news, the owners launched a campaign to block the La Doce leader's entry. "Several neighbors are submitting letters of opposition to prevent his acceptance. We need to get 20% of the shareholders, which would be approximately 204, to oppose it ," said one of the indignant members.
According to Clarín, the neighborhood group sent an email to the Admissions Subcommittee listing each of the legal cases faced by the hooligan, who is now free after serving his sentences or having been cleared of several charges.
" Mr. Di Zeo has a criminal and police record that reveals aggressive behavior, use of weapons, and violent confrontation, incompatible with the Club's community values . He was arrested in 1999 and 2007 for aggravated coercion, criminal association, and assault. He was involved in a 2013 shootout that left two dead, charged with instigation and weapons; the final sentence is still under review," they detailed.

And they added: "In April 2024, he was charged along with other hooligans with possession of weapons of war, drugs, and sharp objects: kidnapping in transit and a charge with up to 6 years' sentence; he reached probation. Di Zeo has the right of admission to stadiums by order of the Ministry of Security. And the statute requires the 'maintenance of the decorum and prestige of the club.' The admission of a person with a criminal record or serious charges contravenes this principle ."
Another owner, also outraged, stated: "It would be counterintuitive: all workers are required to have a criminal record before they can join." In the end, the necessary signatures were collected, and Di Zeo will have to find another place to live with his family.
