Liverpool player Diogo Jota dies along with his brother after their car caught fire following an accident in Zamora.

Diogo Jota , Portuguese player for Liverpool and his brother André were killed early Thursday morning in a traffic accident on the Rías Bajas Highway (A-52) near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria (Zamora) , according to Efe. The Portuguese player was an international with Portugal and played for two seasons (2016-2018) under Atlético de Madrid.
The accident occurred at around 12:40 a.m. when the Lamborghini they were traveling in veered off the road and caught fire, at kilometer 65 of the A-52 motorway heading toward Benavente. Sources consulted by Efe suggest that one of the car's tires may have burst while overtaking, causing it to veer off the road and burst into flames.

Just ten days ago, the 28-year-old player got married and shared photos of the ceremony on social media with his wife, Rute Cardoso, and their three children. His brother André, 26, played for Penafiel, a Portuguese second division club.
Known as Diego Jota, Diogo José Teixeira da Silva is an international with Portugal, with whom he made his debut in 2019 and with whom he has played 49 matches and scored 14 goals.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which spread to surrounding vegetation, and collaborated with emergency medical services and the Civil Guard . Medical services on the scene could only confirm the deaths of the two occupants of the vehicle.
