VfL Wolfsburg strengthens with ex-Frankfurt player Lindström
As expected, Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg has strengthened its squad with the addition of former Frankfurt player Jesper Lindström. The Danish midfielder joins on a one-year loan from Italian champions SSC Napoli.
The 25-year-old was already on loan to Everton FC last season. Lindström made 30 appearances for the Toffees in four competitions, and played 80 competitive matches for Frankfurt, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists.
Midfield all-rounder Lindström"Jesper has experience in the Bundesliga and at the international level. With him, we gain a dynamic and very flexible player who can fill almost any position in midfield," said VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz. Lindström won the Europa League with Frankfurt in 2022.
