The DFB Cup match between Lokomotiv Leipzig and FC Schalke 04 was briefly interrupted in the 13th minute. Schalke player Christopher Antwi-Adjei apparently complained to the referee about racist insults.

Schalke player Christopher Antwi-Adjei was ready to take a throw-in in the 13th minute of the DFB Cup match against Lokomotiv Leipzig . He then interrupted the action and angrily approached referee Max Burda. The reason: apparently racist chants from the Lokomotiv fans.

Burda then asked both captains for a meeting and also spoke with security personnel. The stadium announcer also addressed the spectators in an announcement, urgently requesting that they refrain from racist remarks.

The game was able to resume approximately three minutes after the incident. According to Leipzig's press spokesman, the incident involved "discriminatory shouts," as reported by "Bild."
