Schalke coach Miron Muslic isn't worried about the motivation and commitment of his top striker Moussa Sylla. The 25-year-old was considered a potential exit candidate all summer. However, a move never materialized. "He's ready. Moussa is an undisputed top performer for us. That's why he'll play on Saturday—absolutely," Muslic said of the attacker, who recently played with the Malian national team.
In general, his team is working exactly as Muslic envisions. "I'm very pleased with the drive, the will, and the drive the team currently has," said the 42-year-old. Schalke has won three of its four 2. Bundesliga games this season under the new coach.
The coach declined to commit to a specific placement goal. However, Muslic said: "If we continue to develop at the pace we've been doing over the last three months, then we don't need to fear the future."
Schalke enters the fifth matchday in second place and hosts Bundesliga relegated side Holstein Kiel on Saturday (1 p.m./Sky).
