Novak Djokovic has admitted he is aiming to “mess up” the plans of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner at the US Open. The Serbian is due to take on Alcaraz in the men’s semi-finals tomorrow, with Sinner facing a last-four battle with Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Either Alcaraz or Sinner has one each of the last seven Grand Slam titles, with the duo playing out scintillating finals at the French Open and Wimbledon earlier this year. And Djokovic will have to roll back the years if he is to win a 25th Major in New York as he will probably need to defeat both men. The women’s draw is just as exciting, with Aryna Sabalenka facing Jessica Pegula in the semi-finals tonight ahead of a clash between Naomi Osaka and Amanda Anisimova. US Open star Mirra Andreeva was approached by a fan as she sat in her chair during a women's doubles match earlier this week.

The 18-year-old teamed up with Diana Shnaider at Flushing Meadows, with the duo eventually exiting the tournament at the quarter-final stage.

Earlier this week, a man walked up behind Andreeva and muttered something to the teenager. She turned around to look at the fan before laughing about the incident during an exchange with Shnaider.

Andy Murray was called out by Carlos Alcaraz after the Briton trolled the Spaniard over his ability on the golf course.

After Alcaraz revealed he had booked a round of golf with Sergio Garcia ahead of his US Open semi-final, Murray told him on social media: “I gave him about 12 shots and smoked him so I’d imagine Sergio would need to give him 25.”

But Alcaraz hit back with a cutting response as he exclaimed: “You only beat me because your partner was good! You brave enough to play me at singles?”

Murray and Alcaraz shared a few rounds of golf during the grass court season in London, with the 38-year-old coming out on top.
