Na Gaeil defeated Rathmore by 0-16 to 2-9 in a thrilling Kerry SFC semi-final at Dr Crokes, Killarney.

Rathmore looked to be in the boss seat in Saturday evening’s massive clash when four points to the good in the second half and with wind advantage, but the Kingdom's youngest club finished with gusto to advance to the decider.

Goals from Ciaran Collins and John Moynihan had Rathmore 2-2 to 0-7 ahead at the break and it got even better for them when Alan Dineen's two-pointer was followed by a Collins point. But Donal Rooney’s charges were level by the 48th minute thanks to goalkeeper Conor Bohane (two-point free).

Points from substitute Darragh Reen and Diarmuid O'Connor were cancelled out by a two-pointer from Kerry custodian Shane Ryan - Rathmore's first score in 17 minutes - but Jack Sheehan struck the winner for the Killeen men following an exchange between O'Connor and his county colleague Paul Murphy.

Intermediate champions in 2021 and junior kingpins two years earlier, Na Gaeil’s 2025 senior county final opponents will be determined on Sunday afternoon when holders Dr Crokes take on Kenmare in the second semi-final at Austin Stack Park.
