Snooker star Judd Trump has opened up on how he is enjoying life in Dubai. The world No. 1 decided to leave the country earlier this year in favour of soaking up the sun in the in Asia.
The move has not affected Trump’s snooker though, and he feels that he has improved since upping sticks and heading abroad. The 35-year-old booked his spot in the second round of the World Snooker Championship on Wednesday when beating Zhou Yuelong.
He explained: “I love it. It’s obviously a massive change in snooker terms. I don’t really feel there’s many people that have made that sort of step to live anywhere else bar the UK.
“For me, it’s the perfect lifestyle. Practice in the morning, play golf every single day, seven days a week. I think having that happiness off the table is showing this season and showed again tonight.”
Ronnie O’Sullivan booked his spot in the second round yesterday when beating Ali Carter, and he will now face Pang Junxu – who beat Zhang Anda – on Saturday.
Judd Trump and Shaun Murphy were also victorious in their respective clashes, setting up a sensational clash on Sunday.

Ali Carter feels the second session of his defeat to Ronnie O’Sullivan in the World Snooker Championship was ‘embarrassing'’.
The Rocket claimed the victory over his long-term rival on Wednesday, but Carter was far from pleased with his own performance – losing five frames on the bounce as he was dumped out of the competition.
Carter told the BBC: "I was always in it at 5-4 but Ronnie got going and I just seemed to find myself in awkward positions. I split the pack a couple of times and missed a couple of blacks off the cushion when I couldn't really get on anything. It just went from bad to worse and it sort of begins to get a little bit embarrassing out there."
