SmackDown RESULTS: WWE fans turn on Cody Rhodes during final confrontation with John Cena while Randy Orton reveals his WrestleMania plans

John Cena and Cody Rhodes went to work on the microphones one last time before their battle this Sunday at WrestleMania 41, but something in the crowd changed this time.

The 16-time champion insists he will not have one more match after he retires at the end of 2025.

The 47-year-old finally referenced Rhodes turning down The Rock's offer and says Rhodes doesn't have the 'balls' to be a real champion.

Loud boos rung out before Rhodes spoke and once again when he tried to address Cena.

He went on to call Cena overrated and insisted he's out of touch before finally asserting that in 2025, Cena still can't wrestle.

Cena said he won't have to wrestle to beat Cody before attempting an Attitude Adjustment, but Rhodes reversed it into his Cross-Rhodes finisher to get the upperhand on Cena once again.

That might lead one to believe Cena will have the last laugh on Sunday because when things have got physical thus far, Rhodes has been the victor.

The crowd did turn back in Rhodes' favour when he was going off on Cena, but the boos that drowned out his entrance and beginning of his promo are likely to carry over to Sunday's main event.

• Seth Rollins opened the show with a promo taking shots at both CM Punk and Roman Reigns insisting he will shape the future of the company..
• Carmelo Hayes win the Andre The Giant Battle Royal last eliminating Andrade
• Rhea Ripley attempted to cut a promo before she was interrupted by Iyo Sky and then quickly Bianca Belair. Naomi entered to talk to Belair before Jade Cargill rushed to the ring and a brawl broke out, ending in Sky landing a moonsault to the outside on her WrestleMania opponents
• Street Profits tag title defence against Motor City Machine Guns ends in a DQ after DIY interfere. General manager Nick Aldis books a three-way TLC next week as a result
• Randy Orton issues an open challenge for WrestleMania night two on Sunday
• Zelina Vega def. Chelsea Green
• LA Knight vs Solo Sikoa turns into a tag team matchup after Jacob Fatu and then Braun Strowman interfere. Knight and Strowman get the win.
• Rey Mysterio, Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee def. American Made, but Mysterio suffered an injury during the matchup
