Ruben Amorim insists Manchester United have tried "to arrange everything" so that their bomb squad can find new clubs and insists he is having to begin life without them - even though they remain at Old Trafford.

Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia are all still in Manchester as the final week of the transfer window approaches, leaving them in limbo as they've made it clear they want to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

However several of the aforementioned quartet have rejected moves away as they hold out for specific locations. Sancho was close to a move to Roma but has knocked that back. Garnacho meanwhile has a number of suitors but has made it clear he only wants to head to Chelsea.

United though need their potential buyers to cough up the appropriate sums if they are to sanction their departures. Old Trafford bosses are already prepared to take huge financial hits to get certain players off their books.

And now Amorim has made it clear that the Red Devils have done their bit to help their careers move on and he's having to work as if they won't be present for the long haul - leaving them in a difficult situation.

He said: "I think again, I know that is not a good thing to have players in this situation, but it’s clear they want to play in a different club and that is clear.

"So we try to arrange everything for both parts to be happy, so I have to try to imagine to have the training with the guys that I think are going to be the future and the other guys are training and preparing for the next chapter. When the window is closed, it’s a different history, when the window is closed, we have to receive the players and in a new life, anything can happen."

United have been able to rid of Marcus Rashford, at least temporarily, with the forward heading out on his second successive loan spell. He will play out the year at Barcelona after it became apparent that his involvement was going to be limited under Amorim.

The summer signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo will also hamper the minutes of Garnacho, Sancho and Antony should they remain in Manchester. Sancho and Antony especially have struggled to deliver on their fees with the pair costing north of £150million.
