Kingdom boost as O'Connor returns to full training

Kerry have received a major fitness boost ahead of the All-Ireland football final after Diarmuid O’Connor took part in a full training session of Saturday.
The midfielder, who hurt his shoulder in the penultimate round of the league against Armagh, hasn’t featured for the Munster champions since departing the fray just minutes into the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final victory over Cavan.
But he played a full part in an intense training session in Killarney yesterday morning and is now on course to feature in the eagerly-anticipated All-Ireland final against Donegal next Sunday.
Despite being named on the bench for both, Paul Geaney is another who missed the quarter-final and semi-final victories over Armagh and Tyrone respectively, and he too trained fully just eight days out from what will be the Kingdom’s third All-Ireland final appearance in four years.
The only injury doubt for Jack O’Connor at present is Tom O’Sullivan, who sat out yesterday’s session as he continues to nurse a calf injury.
