Corbett still doing the business for Tipp Masters

Lar Corbett rolled back the years with another impressive performance for the Tipperary Masters hurling team last weekend.
The two-time All-Ireland SHC winner scored 0-3 as Tipp began the defence of their All-Ireland Masters hurling crown with a 3-31 to 1-17 victory over Galway in Borris-Ileigh. Now 44, Corbett was also to the fore last year when Tipp overpowered Waterford in the All-Ireland final at the same venue.
Former Galway sharpshooter Ger Farragher came off the bench to hit 1-5 for the visitors, but Ger O’Grady’s Tipperary star-studded outfit – which also featured former senior stars Eoin Brislane, Declan Fanning, Shane McGrath and ‘Redser’ himself – proved too strong as they now turn their thoughts towards facing Kildare in the next round.
