BBC And RTÉ Confirm Star-Studded Punditry Lineups For All-Ireland Football Final

After a riveting, revitalised championship summer, the All-Ireland football final is upon us at last.

A cracking prospect is in store, with Kerry and Donegal preparing to do battle in Croke Park on Sunday afternoon.

Whatever the allegiance, just about every person in GAA HQ will be decked out in green and yellow as Jack O'Connor and Jim McGuinness' sides fight it out for Sam Maguire.

Tickets are like gold dust but, even if you are confined to the couch, both RTÉ and GAA have some star-studded punditry line-ups on offer for TV viewers.

RTÉ and BBC punditry teams are in for the All-Ireland football final

Throw-in for Sunday's All-Ireland football final is at 3:30pm.

RTÉ's live coverage will get underway at 2:15pm from Croke Park. In a change from previous games, the final will be live on RTÉ One, due to the final of the Women's European Championships being broadcast live on RTÉ 2 from 4pm.

Alongside host Joanne Cantwell will be Kerry's Tomás Ó Sé, Tyrone's Peter Canavan and Mayo's Lee Keegan.

Damian Lawlor will be on touchline duty, while Darragh Maloney will be the lead commentator alongside Éamonn Fitzmaurice.

Irish-language coverage will also be available on the RTÉ News channel from 2:55pm.

BBC have delivered a serious All-Ireland football final punditry lineup to compete with RTÉ's.

The game will be live on BBC Two from 3pm, hosted by Thomas Niblock. Alongside the GAA Social host will be legends of the game Oisin McConville, Philly McMahon, Conor McManus, Mickey Harte, Owen Mulligan, and Brendan Devenney. Niblock and Harte will provide commentary of the game.

Referee Maurice Deegan will also be on hand to deliver pivotal insight into the big calls on the day.

As for the hurling final, the BBC will bring in some of the celebrities in attendance at Croker on Sunday to comment on the occasion, while some surprises could still be in store - like that afforded for Tipperary manager Liam Cahill last Sunday

In terms of radio, RTÉ will cover the game in English on Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio 1, with Irish commentary on Raidio na Gaeltachta.

The culmination of the men's championship summer comes with The Sunday Game, on RTÉ 2 from 9:30pm.

Host Jacqui Hurley will be joined by pundits Ciarán Whelan, Enda McGinley, Paul Flynn, Cora Staunton, Tomás Ó Sé and Mark McHugh to reflect on an epic championship summer, and pick the Sunday Game team of the year.

No matter how you take it in, we're set for an absolute cracker in Sunday's All-Ireland football final in Croke Park.
