World Boxing Championship: Buse Naz Çakıroğlu in the semi-finals

National boxer Buse Naz Çakıroğlu advanced to the semi-finals in the World Boxing Championship.

In the evening session of the championship held in Liverpool, Britain, Buse Naz Çakıroğlu faced Zareen Nikhat from India in the quarterfinals of the women's 51-kilogram category.

Despite receiving a warning, Çakıroğlu put up a superior fight and won the match 5-0, advancing to the semi-finals.

The national athlete secured her fourth medal at the world championships by advancing to the semi-finals.

Çakıroğlu, who won the gold medal at the 2022 tournament in Istanbul, will face Feruza Kazakova from Uzbekistan in the semifinals on Saturday, September 13.

The 29-year-old athlete said after the match , "I want to come home a champion. I was up against a valuable athlete who has won two world championships. Losses are inevitable, but our goal is always the gold medal."
