Okan Buruk: We reached Osimhen; we can't say 'There is nothing'

Galatasaray Technical Director Okan said about Nigerian center forward Victor Osimhen, who was injured in the national team match , "We reached out to him; we can't say 'There is nothing wrong'."

Osimhen was injured in the 36th minute of the Nigerian National Team's 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers match against Rwanda today.

While the news worried the yellow-red fans, Okan Buruk responded to a question about the star center forward’s injury on NOW Spor’s YouTube broadcast as follows:

"We reached him (Osimhen). The information we received is that he has a pain in his foot. We cannot say 'there is nothing wrong'. We want to bring him to Istanbul as soon as possible and have him checked out."

According to TRT Spor, Nigerian Coach Eric Chelle said that Osimhen felt pain after the match and that his condition will be determined tomorrow (September 7, 2025).

The yellow-reds transferred Osimhen from Napoli for 75 million euros at the end of July.
