Okan Buruk and Jose Mourinho referred to disciplinary board

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Legal Consultancy has referred Galatasaray Technical Director Okan Buruk to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) as a precautionary measure due to his “statements aimed at damaging the reputation of football” and Fenerbahçe Technical Director Jose Mourinho due to his “unsportsmanlike conduct” and “insult” in his statements at the post-match press conference.

On the other hand, Galatasaray player Mauro Icardi and Fenerbahçe Sporting Director Mario Branco were also referred to the board for “acting against instructions” without due care. The PFDK referrals are as follows:

"1- It has been decided to refer IKAS EYUPSPOR Club to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board in accordance with Article 53 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions due to its "ugly and bad cheering" in the IKAS EYUPSPOR-BEŞİKTAŞ A.Ş. Trendyol Super League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 21.02.2025.

2- It has been decided to refer BEŞİKTAŞ A.Ş. Club to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board in accordance with Article 53 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions due to its “ugly and bad cheering” in the IKAS EYÜPSPOR-BEŞİKTAŞ A.Ş. Trendyol Super League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 21.02.2025.

3- It has been decided to refer NET GLOBAL SİVASSPOR Club to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board in accordance with Article 53 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions due to its “ugly and bad cheering” in the NET GLOBAL SİVASSPOR-TÜMOSAN KONYASPOR Trendyol Super League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 22.02.2025.

4- BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Club was referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) in accordance with Article 46 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction and Article 4 of the Accreditation Instruction due to its “acting against the instructions” in the BELLONA KAYSERISPOR-GÖZTEPE A.Ş. Trendyol Super League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 23.02.2025.

BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Club President NURETTİN AÇIKALİN was referred to the PFDK due to his “acting against the instructions” in the same match, in accordance with Article 46 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction and Article 7/1 of the Accreditation Instruction,

BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Club manager GÖKHAN GÜLEN was referred to the PFDK due to his “acting against the instructions” in the same match, in accordance with Article 46 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction and Article 7/1 of the Accreditation Instruction,

It has been decided to refer BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Club manager RIZA ERKUT YURDEMİ to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) due to his “acting against the instructions” in the same match, without taking any precautions, in accordance with Article 46 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction and Article 7/1 of the Accreditation Instruction.

5- GALATASARAY A.Ş. Club was referred to the PFDK due to its “ugly and bad cheering” in the GALATASARAY A.Ş.-FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. Trendyol Super League Şamil Ekinci Season match played on 24.02.2025, in accordance with Article 53 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions, and due to “field incidents” in accordance with Article 52 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions.

GALATASARAY A.Ş. Club technical manager OKAN BURUK was referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) without due care, in accordance with Article 38 of the Football Disciplinary Instructions, due to his statements in the post-match press conference that included “statements aimed at damaging the reputation of football”.

GALATASARAY A.Ş. Club football player MAURO EMANUEL ICARDI was referred to the PFDK due to his “acting against the instructions” in the same match, in accordance with Article 46 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction and Article 7/1 of the Accreditation Instruction,
