According to news in the British media, Jim Ratcliffe, the owner of INEOS, which bought a 25 percent stake in Manchester United for 1.25 billion pounds, announced that the staff canteen at Old Trafford Stadium will be closed and only fruit will be served to employees as a result of the expansion of austerity measures.

The staff canteen at Old Trafford, which offers free hot meals and tea and coffee to employees and is open from 11.30am to 1.30pm, is expected to close at the weekend.
