İlhan Palut: I couldn't prepare my team enough

İlhan Palut, the technical director of Çaykur Rizespor, who was eliminated by losing 5-2 to Trabzonspor in the third match of the Ziraat Turkish Cup Group A, spoke at the press conference held after the match.

Palut, who stated that Trabzonspor came onto the field mentally prepared, said, "They also physically outperformed us in many positions. In short, I can say that the Trabzonspor team, technical staff and players were better prepared for this match than we were. I could not prepare my team enough. In other words, the players could not concentrate enough for this match. This was a situation that was evident in the open field."

İlhan Palut stated that they could not put up the fight they wanted and noted the following:

"Trabzonspor pulled up their willful concentration power well, and they added self-confidence to it. We panicked on the field. It is not easy to overcome this when you are not well prepared and things go badly on the field. We entered the game with a different score in the first half. The second half was more balanced. We finished a very bad football day badly for us. We will focus on the league. Trabzonspor deserved the victory, I wish them success."
