De Laurentiis crisis in Osimhen transfer

De Laurentiis crisis in Osimhen transfer

A new crisis has emerged regarding Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen transfer. Napoli's president, De Lurentiis, is at the forefront of the crisis.

The Yellow-Reds have indicated they can travel to Italy and pay the €75 million in two installments. Napoli requested a guarantee, which was granted, but De Laurentiis is working to prevent Victor Osimhen's request from being granted.

In 2023, a "coconut" dispute erupted between the two on Napoli's TikTok account. Osimhen sued the club after being likened to coconut, sparking tensions. The Nigerian forward waited until the transfer deadline in 2023, transferring to Galatasaray without earning Napoli a transfer fee. The Italian club reached an agreement with Al Ahli this summer; this time, Osimhen backtracked on the Italians by saying, "I won't go to Arabia."

Laurentiis, angry with Osimhen, wants to make things even harder this year and send him to Arabia for a higher price.

IF IT SOLVES, OSIMHEN SOLVES IT

Galatasaray manager Abdullah Kavukcu's negotiations with Napoli Sporting Director Giovanni Manna weren't limited to just the two clubs. Victor Osimhen also joined the meetings by phone, telling the Italian side, "Sell me to Galatasaray; I won't play for any other club." Negotiations stalled.

With Osimhen's determined stance, new doors are expected to open in the coming period.
