Zenit to try again to buy Sevilla defender Carmona

The St. Petersburg club intends to return to negotiations with Sevilla on the purchase of defender Jose Angel Carmona in the summer of 2025. This is reported by AS.

In the winter, Zenit already made an attempt to sign the 23-year-old Spaniard, offering 10 million euros and bonuses, but the footballer decided to stay at Sevilla. Carmona's contract with the club runs until 2028, and the buyout clause is 30 million euros.

The defender has played 23 matches this season, but has not scored. In Spain, he is called the "New Sergio Ramos".

Earlier it became known that midfielder Mateus Pereira will not move to Zenit. The club for which the footballer plays commented on the failure of the transfer.
