The RCC 23 tournament was held in Chelyabinsk, where Omsk resident Alexander Shlemenko and Belarusian fighter Vladislav Kovalev, known by the nickname "Belaz", met in a middleweight fight.

The first two rounds were dominated by the Belarusian athlete. At the beginning of the third round, the Omsk native launched an attack, but Kovalev managed to seize the initiative and applied a choke. The referee stopped the fight at 1 minute 27 seconds of the third round, recording the victory of the Belarusian fighter. Thus, Kovalev became the first champion in the history of the RCC tournaments.

After the fight, Shlemenko noted that his opponent had won a fair victory and thanked the organizers for the opportunity to hold the fight.

Let us recall that the first meeting of these athletes took place in May 2025 at the RCC 22 tournament. Then Kovalev also turned out to be stronger - the judges gave him the victory by split decision.
