As expected, the derby was evenly matched and had many ups and downs on both sides. In this scenario, coaches Marcos Miranda and Bernardinho made significant changes to their teams.
Bernardinho started the match with Simone Lee and Karina on the wings. When he fought back in the second set, he had young players Helena and Mikaella on the court. He continued to play with Lee and Mikaela from midway through the third set and then returned to the starting lineup for the start of the match.

Overall, Fluminense was more consistent, especially in the passing game, for much of the match, with Amanda, Valdez, and Marcelle. But overall, the team's performance dropped after going 2-1 up.
At the end of the fourth set, Fabíola suffered cramps and was unable to return, with Amanda Sehn taking over the Tricolor's set. In the tiebreak, Fluminense staged a comeback, closing the five-point deficit to one point: from 13-8 to 13-12.
SCARE AND TENSIONWith the score at 13-12, the game was a particularly fraught moment. During a long rally, Amanda collided with Ariane while attempting a save, and the match was interrupted. The outside hitter required medical attention from both clubs and the gym's emergency team. Immobilized, she was carried off on a stretcher, while some of her teammates, like Valdez and Marcelle, cried.
According to the Sportv report, she had lost consciousness. By the time she left the court, Amanda had regained consciousness. When the match resumed, Sesc RJ Flamengo scored the final two points to seal the victory. Fluminense still complained heavily about the refereeing after the final point, an ace ruled by video check.
