Real Madrid renews Gonzalo García's contract until 2030 and Endrick loses space, says newspaper

Real Madrid renews Gonzalo García's contract until 2030 and Endrick loses space, says newspaper

The four goals scored in the Club World Cup , held between June and July of this year in the United States, served to boost young Gonzalo García's morale with Real Madrid 's directors. Encouraged by the young striker's performance, Real Madrid extended his contract until 2030 and included a €1 billion (approximately R$6.3 billion) release clause. This rise directly affects Brazilian Endrick, who is losing his place in the squad and seeing his chances of competing for a starting spot diminish.

According to the Spanish newspaper As , Gonzalo García "turned the game around" with the arrival of coach Xabi Alonso and, after the tournament organized by FIFA, he becomes the first option in attack on the bench of the merengue team.

The newspaper also reported that, although it is not official, the striker who came through Real's youth ranks has a great chance of inheriting the number 9 shirt from the start of this season (Endrick would be the other candidate).

Amid the success of Gonzalo García, who until recently was just another name in the squad (he had only played one match under former coach Carlo Ancelotti), Brazilian Endrick is recovering from an injury that kept him off the field two months ago.

This unfavorable scenario, however, doesn't signal a change of scenery for the Palmeiras -born player. According to the publication, he isn't considering being loaned to another team and hopes to change this outlook when he's available to coach Xabi Alonso.
