Premier League club confirms that full-back was threatened by former agent.

Tottenham revealed that left-back Destiny Udogie was the player who was threatened by his former agent in London last September. The team said it has been providing support to the player and his family since the incident, and will continue to do so.
"We have been supporting Destiny and their family since the incident and will continue to do so. Given that this is a legal matter, we cannot comment further," the club explained in a statement.
According to the European press, the 31-year-old agent had his bail paid and is no longer detained. However, he is prohibited from contacting the Italian player. Furthermore, London police also revealed that the same agent allegedly extorted money from another player.
"Police officers spoke to the victim and, during the investigation, it was also reported that another man in his 20s had been blackmailed and threatened by the same individual. No injuries were reported in either incident," London Police said in a statement.
The Italian had recently changed agents and is now represented by Elite Project Group, the same group that represents Bukayo Saka of Arsenal and Jamie Gittens of Chelsea.
Destiny Udogie played in Tottenham's 4-0 victory over FC Copenhagen of Denmark on Tuesday, in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage. He started the match and was substituted in the second half for England's Djed Spence.
