Palmeiras finishes eighth in the Club World Cup; see full ranking

The Club World Cup has reached its semi-finals and there are only four teams left fighting for the title. Fluminense , Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are still in the running, while Palmeiras , Al-Hilal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have bowed out of the competition. Below, you can check out the full ranking, from 5th to 32nd place.
Palmeiras, eliminated last Friday (03/7), finished the competition in eighth place. In terms of numbers, the team's performance is very similar to that of Al-Hilal, who lost to Fluminense, the only Brazilian team still in the competition. The Saudis finished the World Cup in 7th place with the same number of points as Verdão, but with an advantage in goals scored.
Bayern Munich then finished in sixth place and Borussia Dortmund in fifth. The Aurinegros had the advantage in points, having lost only once during the entire World Cup, while the Bavarians suffered two defeats in the competition.
The other Brazilians, as previously reported, finished in the top 20. Botafogo finished the tournament in 14th place, while Flamengo was in 11th place. The criteria for the ranking follow an order: stage reached, score, goal difference, number of goals scored and, finally, number of yellow cards received.
